Myrne Goulding is committed to the belief that clients are experts of their own lives and authors of their own stories. Myrne is honoured with the privilege of walking alongside clients. She believes that everyone has unique strengths and resources and strives to create a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can show up as they are and feel seen, heard, and supported. Together they consider the intricacies of clients’ own story, and uncover a path toward insight, healing and wholeness.
Myrne has over 25 years of experience working with youth and adults in the non-profit sector where she filled many roles from youth worker, to staff coach, trainer to counsellor. She has her Masters in Social Work and is a registered Social Worker in good standing with the BCCSW (British Columbia College of Social Workers.) Myrne is a cancer survivor and brings this, together with other life experiences, into her practice. Her approach can be described as collaborative, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centred. When working with couples, she draws on her training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (L 1 and 2).
